We wish to announce that after 10 years together, Cone of Silence will be parting ways to pursue individual personal commitments and other musical endeavors. This was a very difficult decision for us, as we all love making music together, and especially enjoyed seeing our fans singing along as we play their favorite songs.  In fact, many of our fans have become good friends and we will truly miss seeing all of you on a regular basis.  We are grateful for the musicians who have shared their talents on stage with us over the years, and to the local venues who supported us throughout our musical adventures.

Although we will no longer make music together as Cone of Silence, we remain great friends and look forward to supporting each other's future musical pursuits.

Our last Cone of Silence performance will be at the ACRES OF MUSIC "Summer of Love" benefit show on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the State Theatre.  This is a fitting finale for us, as the first Acres Project benefit show "The Music of Woodstock" was produced by Liz and James on June 15, 2019.  It is a cause near and dear to our hearts and we hope to see many of you there.  You can purchase tickets for the show here.

With all our love,
James, John, Liz & Steve

Cone of Silence is a State College, PA rock band dedicated to playing some of the most iconic songs of the 60s, 70s and 80s.  You'll hear classic gems by Pink Floyd (Sheep, Comfortably Numb, Time) the complex and layered sounds of Yes (Tempus Fugit, South Side of the Sky, Starship Trooper), the jazz-influenced structure and harmonies of Steely Dan (Aja, The Fez, Kid Charlemagne) or maybe the entire back side of the Beatles “Abbey Road” in one sitting. Featuring Steve Christensen on guitar, Liz Grove on keyboards, John Lynch on drums and James Miller on bass, all the members have a long history of playing in central Pennsylvania with bands such as Trixie Neptune, The Earthtones, JR Mangan Band and Spider Kelly.
